Simulator Based Design in Practice

The main focus of this master thesis project was to practice Simulator-Based Design (SBD) in the automotive area and to give further insight in this field of application. SBD may be seen as a more specific application of simulation-based design, where a specific platform, the simulator itself is used. It could also run on a generic computer environment but it would include more dedicated hardware components, for instance, an aircraft or ground vehicle cockpit and a visualization system for environment presentation. This solution gives us the possibility of including the human operator in the simulation.
